U.S. Census Bureau Sets Up Assitance Center At Chicago Family Health Center

Chicago Family Health Center (CFHC) has partnered with the U.S. Census Bureau to encourage local area residents to complete and mail their Census forms this year. The Census Bureau has set up a Census Questionnaire Assistance Center at the CFHC South Chicago clinic, 9119 S. Exchange where Census workers help patients or residents from the community fill out their forms and answer questions. The Assistance Center is set up through April 19th, Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.Read more.

Chicago Family Health Center, East Side Location To Stay Open Late On Wednesday

Chicago Family Health Center Viewpoint: Congress did the right thing and America is better for it

Our Congressman, Jesse L. Jackson, Jr., and President Obama gave America a huge victory this week with the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (H.R. 3590). The bill lowers out of pocket expenses for millions, guarantees choices for how people receive care, and expands access to health care. Most significantly it advocates for a basic health care principle that health advocates have maintained for years: Good health promotes productivity, especially for those suffering from chronic illness. We are hopeful because this bill encourages providers to switch their focus from curing the sick to helping people stay healthy throughout their lifetimes. Read more.
