Chicago Family Health Center helps to promote Diabetes Awareness
Mar. 10, 2009
With so much health information readily available, it’s often hard for the 24 million Americans living with diabetes to separate fact from fiction. To help people with diabetes better understand how to manage the disease, Chicago Family Health Center wants to encourage people with diabetes to know their A1C, blood pressure, and cholesterol, and manage their diabetes to reach their target numbers.
The National Diabetes Education Program is currently promoting a new feature article entitled, “Five Facts About Diabetes”* authored by Griffin Rodgers, M.D., M.A.C.P., Director, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases to general print and online publications. The article separates fact from fiction and provides information to help people with diabetes better understand how to manage their disease.
