June 2009

Chicago Family Health Center (CFHC) will hold its annual “Back to School” Health Fairs on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at our Roseland Center located at 120 W. 111th Street; Saturday, August 8, 2009 at our South Chicago Center located at 9119 S. Exchange; and Saturday, August 22, 2009 at our Pullman Center located at 556 E. 115th Street. The fairs will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

No appointment is necessary to participate at these health fairs.

As part of the annual event, each CFHC location will provide 100 school physicals to school aged children, dental screenings and needed immunizations.

“Our Back to School Health Fair is an important community event”, says Warren J. Brodine, CEO of Chicago Family Health Center, “these Health Fairs provide the appropriate physicals, dental screens and immunizations to ensure that children can attend the first day of school.”

Children needing immunizations will need to bring an updated immunization card in order to receive their immunizations. “The immunization card will help up determine which shots are required for each child,” Brodine said.

If you are unable to attend one of these health fairs, school physicals are always available by appointment at any Chicago Family Health Center location. To schedule an appointment, call (773) 768-5000.
