Chicago Family Health Center Healing Hands Celebration Honored Supporters, Raised Money for Primary Health Care
Chicago Family Health Center’s (CFHC) annual Healing Hands Celebration took place on Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Mid-America Club at the AON building in Chicago. The evening honored CFHC supporters and contributors for their generosity and commitment to advancing the mission of Chicago Family Health Center.
Stephanie Comer, Manger of the Comer Foundation was honored with the distinguished 2010 Healing Hands Award, and the Honorable Kwame Raoul, Illinois State Senator, 13th District was recognized as Legislative Partner of the Year. In addition, the Nehemiah Restoration Coalition was named Community Partner of the Year and LabCorp as Corporate Partner of the Year.
This yearly event also raised funds from its generous supporters, including companies and individuals through sponsorships, a silent auction and raffle ticket sales. Proceeds will fund primary health care services for low-income residents of Chicago’s South and Southeast side who have little or no health care coverage. Services provided at CFHC include pediatrics, women’s health, care for seniors, HIV care, behavioral health services and many more.
