In addition, we provide convenient access to support services, nutritional counseling, family planning, patient and family education.

Family Planning

Whether or not you are ready to start a family, we can make sure you are prepared, and fully informed of your options. The women served by our Family Planning program receive comprehensive and honest information when determining and planning for their family. Services include:

Breast and Cervical Cancer Care

Through the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (IBCCP), CFHC offers breast and cervical cancer screenings for low-income women who live in Illinois and are uninsured or underinsured. The program aims at detecting breast and cervical cancer early so that women can receive the best treatment options. IBCCP offers free:

  • Mammograms
  • Breast exams
  • Pelvic exams
  • Clinical breast exams
  • Pap tests
  • Health education

Even if a woman has already been diagnosed with cancer, she may still be able to receive assistance if she qualifies. Men may also be eligible for breast health screenings.  Women who are newly insured and need to access breast health screenings can enroll in the Clinical Navigation Insured (CNI) program. For questions or to enroll in IBCCP call 773 364-2359.

You can be confident that you’ll receive more than just the best clinical care, because CFHC’s patients also have access to a closely integrated network of support including Care Coordination, WIC and Cancer Support Services.
