CFHC congratulates its 2022 awardees, which will be honored on Friday, October 21 at the Healing Hands Celebration, our annual fundraising gala. The foundation of any great organization is rooted in service, and we are fortunate to continue in our partnership with these outstanding leaders.

The South Side Healthy Community Organization is this year’s recipient of the Healing Hands Award, CFHC’s highest honor. It is presented to an organization or individual for championing access to quality, affordable healthcare for the underserved. CFHC is a proud member of SSHCO and supports its key goals which include access to more physicians who reflect the community; focus on social determinants of health; educational resources; enhanced care coordination and better access to specialists.

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLBC) is this year’s recipient of the Craig and Susan Manske Award, named after two of CFHC’s long-time supporters. It recognizes an individual or organization for their commitment to outside partnerships, resources, and support. After a generous donation in 2021 FHLBC has continued to share not only their resources but their expertise and knowledge of finance and marketing, hosting financial wellness sessions for staff and volunteering their time and talents to research and develop a social media marketing strategy tailored to CFHC’s needs.
