Nora Reyes

Chair
SVP of Compliance & CRA Officer, Republic Bank of Chicago

Nora Reyes joined the CFHC Board of Directors in 2008. She grew up on the Southeast side of Chicago where her father was a steel worker until the mill shut down. That is when many residents were left without resources as the economic recession caused many local businesses to shutter. She remembers her father being a victim of banking discrimination, which inspired her to dedicate her career to financial services and reverse the wrongs of the past. Today at Republic Bank of Chicago, Nora fulfills her childhood goal of ensuring Chicagoland residents have a bounty of quality banking resources.

Looking back to the early days of  CFHC (formerly the Claretian Medical Center), she recounts her time as a patient. “You didn’t have to explain why you didn’t have insurance,” she said. “They knew because they were in the community.”

Her goal for CFHC is for patients to have a full understanding of our offerings in the community. “I want everyone to know that Chicago Family Health Center is a quality health care option that’s available to them whenever the need arises,” she said.
